PREFACE TO TEAR OUT OF RENGA
FIFTEEN YEARS LATER
As I worked on the renga, in A Tear Out of Renga there seemed to be 3 major themes in our work:
1. getting to know each other and getting money or acclaim
2 art work
3. women's issues
And I see the titles for these areas as
1 "get"
2 "men o'fart"
3 "hangup - nymphing"
However as we worked the original three poems, we wove these themes indiscriminately into all the poems. So I took all the pages we had done, sorted them into these three themes, and reconstructed three new renga. See how well the individual pages held up in their new positions?
